IWGS Journal
The Water Garden Journal is sent to all IWGS members and is published four times a year.
The journal carries a range of material, for example:
- News from the International Waterlily and Water Gardening Society
- General news items on water gardening worldwide - from other publications and the web
- News of forthcoming events and International Symposia
- Informative feature articles: e.g. on water gardening techniques; plant husbandry; water quality; hybridization; invasive species issues; and related topics of interest to more experienced hobbyists and water gardening professionals
- Academic and historical articles on water plants and water gardens
- Reviews of books of interest to water gardeners
- Summaries of symposia activities and information resulting from fact-finding trips taken by society members
Back Issues
Most journals are still available going back to our early issues in the 1980s. Where a copy has run out, it is usually possible to supply a photocopy instead. An index is also available for the first eight volumes, produced by Walter Pagels. We hope to make it available on this website.
The cost for members (non-members in brackets) is as follows -
Journal issues: $7 ($10) each
Printed index for 1985-1992: $5 ($7.50)
Shipping and handling costs:
- for North America are $1.50 for one journal. Add $1 for each extra journal ordered.
- for the rest of the world (airmail) are $4.00 for one journal. Add $2.50 for each extra journal.
