Waterlily Competition
In order to promote interest in hybridizing new colors, forms, and sizes of both tropical and hardy waterlilies, an annual competition is held by the IWGS where hybridizers can display their new creations. In just the past few years this competition has resulted in the introduction of several noteworthy new hybrids: plants with unusual flower shapes and colors; new leaf patterns and colors; and new viviparous lilies.
